The First Step Forward
On March 2026, the Professional Football League™ held its first public milestone: the PFL Talent ID Camp. We set out to create a first-of-its-kind evaluation event for players and sports agencies in a league built on equity from the ground up.
The turnout from players and sports agencies was not what we hoped for. We are not going to sugarcoat that. Silence is data, and we are treating it as such.
What the Silence Told Us
In a sports landscape dominated by legacy power structures, trust is not given — it is earned. Players and their representatives move carefully, and rightly so. A new league asking for their time and energy without years of track record is a significant ask. We heard that.
What we also heard, over and over again in our shadow workforce of 3,000+ football professionals, is that the appetite for what we are building is real. The interest is there. The infrastructure has to come first.
What We Are Building Next
We are pivoting our energy into the phase that makes everything else possible: securing 32 founding club owners — one per city — across the United States. Owners who share our values, understand the mission, and have the capital and commitment to bring a team to their community.
When owners are in place, players follow. When players follow, agencies engage. This is the sequence.
The Mission Has Not Changed
This league was born out of the Kaepernick moment — out of the demand that professional football be built differently. Player-first. Equity-from-scratch. Transparent by design as a 501(c)(6). None of that changes because a first event did not go as planned. Every institution that ever built something worth building hit a wall early. We are still rising.
Watch this space. The next chapter starts now.
